For this reason, it is important that you read this Privacy Policy regularly.

Privacy Notices
This Privacy Policy may be supplemented or modified from time to time by "Privacy Notices" posted on our Sites. In general, these Privacy Notices provide details about the Personal Information we collect on specific pages or areas of one of our Sites, as well as the reason for the collection of that information and the choices you have about how we use it.
What types of Personal Information do we collect through our Sites?
Information you provide.
We collect Personal Information that you knowingly provide to us (using your mouse and keyboard) when using our Sites. This information depends on how you use our Sites. For example, if you sign up to receive messages from us, we will collect information such as your email address and any related information you provide. If you contact us using the "Contact Us" link, we will collect the information you provide by filling out the contact form.
In general, our Sites distinguish between information that we need to provide you with a particular product or service or to respond to your request ("required fields") and information that, while useful, is optional in relation to that particular product or service or your request. Please note that if you do not fill in the Required Fields, we will not be able to provide you with the requested product or service or respond to your request.
Additional information.
We may sometimes supplement the information you provide with information from business partners, social networks or other sources. For example, we may obtain additional information to validate your address or information about your business. Information you provide to us through other Sterimed Sites, digital apps or through other means may supplement the information we have about you. For example, if you are a Sterimed customer, we may supplement the information you provide to us online with information you provide to us in the course of your business relationship with Sterimed.
Information received by us via your browser.
We collect information that is sent to us automatically by your web browser. This information typically includes your IP address, the identity of your Internet service provider, the name and version of your operating system, the name and version of your web browser, the date and time of your visit, and the pages you have viewed. The term "IP address" refers to the number automatically assigned to your computer when you connect to the Internet. It is used to identify the "location" of your computer on the Internet so that the information you request can be sent to you. If you are using a dial-up connection or a connection that assigns dynamic IP addresses, your computer will be assigned a new IP address each time you connect to the Internet. However, if your computer is constantly connected to the Internet using a static IP address, the IP address assigned to your computer will remain the same each time your computer is used. Although it does not identify you by name, we consider your IP address to be part of your Personal Information.
However, please be aware that when you (or anyone using your email address) respond to any of our emails, for example, by opening an email, downloading images or clicking on a link in a newsletter, your browser will inform us. We use this information for marketing purposes. In addition, we examine server logs (containing the IP address of visitors) for security and fraud prevention purposes. In the event of suspected criminal activity, we may share our server logs and Personal Information collected through this Site with the appropriate authorities, who may use this information to trace and identify individuals.
Device and Location Information.
For users of digital apps, we may also collect information about the device used to download the app, including, where applicable, unique device identifiers, operating system or mobile network information for system administration purposes. We may also automatically collect and store certain information in our server logs to better understand how people use the app, for system administration purposes and to ensure that we provide a good user experience and customer service.
This type of information includes details of when you use the app, how you use it and which parts of the app you use and access, and when you leave the app pages, as well as the date and time.
Cookies and Similar Technologies.
A cookie is a small file sent by a Site or digital app and stored on a user's computer that allows the Site or digital app to collect information about you and your preferences. We use "cookies" and other web technologies in several ways. For example, we may use these technologies for any of the following purposes:
- to collect information about how visitors use our Sites (what pages they visited, what links they used, how long they spent on each page);
- to fulfill the functionality needs of our Sites, for example, to save you from having to re-enter information that is already in our database or to remember settings that you selected during a previous visit to one of our Sites;
- to personalise your use of our Sites;
- allow third parties (e.g. social networking sites) to build online "audiences" from its users who are already Sterimed customers or who share characteristics with Sterimed customers, provided that such third parties always respect your privacy settings;
- to "recognise" you as a user who has previously visited a Sterimed Site or interacted with Sterimed online, so that we can provide you with relevant advertisements when you browse elsewhere online, including on third party Sites; and
- to measure the success of our online or email advertising. For example, if you interact with an advertisement served by a third party on our behalf, we may receive non-personally identifiable information, such as demographic information or general information about your interests.
Where required by applicable law, for example in the EEA, UK or elsewhere, we will obtain your consent before using your data. In these cases, you can withdraw your consent at any time.
The cookies we use can be classified into two categories:
- "Session cookies" which are allocated to your computer for the duration of your visit to our Sites and will be automatically deleted from your computer when you close your browser.
- "Persistent cookies" which expire after a reasonable time or are retained until the user deletes them.
Some of these uses may involve the use of "third party cookies", i.e., cookies set by software used by third parties, for example, to perform statistical analysis of page use, page interactions and site navigation, or for online advertising purposes through an online advertising provider. Third party cookies may collect information about your online activities over time and across different Sites after you visit one of our sites.
In general, we do not use the information collected through these web technologies to identify you by name. However, if you have registered as a user, we may associate information obtained through web technologies with information that identifies you personally.
If you do not wish to receive cookies, in addition to controlling your use through any of the choice mechanisms offered by Sterimed, you can set your browser to refuse cookies or to alert you when a cookie is placed on your computer. You can also delete our cookies when you leave one of our Sites.
For more information on how to do this, please refer to the "Help" section of your browser or visit http://www.allaboutcookies.org.
Although you are not required to accept our cookies to view any of our Sites, by setting your browser to reject cookies, you will not be able to take full advantage of all the features of our Sites.
Unless otherwise stated in this Privacy Policy, we do not currently respond to "Do Not Track" signals or other mechanisms that indicate that you do not want information collected over time and across different Sites or digital apps after you visit one of our Sites. If this is the case in the future, we will describe how we will respond to these signals in this Privacy Policy. Visit www.allaboutdnt.org for more information.
